Business Development Manager – Circular Economy

Rapid urbanization and growing waste-related challenges are global mega trends together with increased focus on solutions and systems to support a circular economy. Tomra Circular Economy (TCE) was recently formed to drive innovation and accelerate the transformation to a circular economy, shaping future waste and resource systems. In the coming years, TCE will expand into new markets with new innovative solutions. To drive our successful growth agenda, we need to strengthen the TCE division with a dedicated resource with a strong business mindset.

As our new Business Development Manager for Circular Economy, you will strengthen our growing team with insight and knowledge and play a vital role in developing new business opportunities. You will also be an important relationship builder expanding our contact network in an international market. Additionally, you will contribute to defining and developing solutions in collaboration with key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify, map, and conceptualize business opportunities in new market segments
  • Assess and map market conditions and key stakeholders in selected markets
  • Attend events, build networks and relationships with relevant players and stakeholders globally
  • Analyze and understand competitive scenarios
  • Develop business cases and assist the businesses units in implementation and execution of initiatives
  • Provide input to strategic plans
Do you have a B.Sc. or M.Sc. with business or technology focus and 2-5 years of experience from technology driven businesses? If so, you may be the entrepreneurial and innovative person we are seeking. Ideally, you have experience from working internationally with business development and complex analysis. Your colleagues describe you as a person with strong people and networking skills, a strategic mindset and excellent communication skills, who acts on own initiative and seizes commercial opportunities. A growth mindset is also important for succeeding in this role.
